ATIZAY EVENTS
In May 2022, NYCxDESIGN celebrated its 10th anniversary with a dynamic festival that transformed New York City into a global design hub. Among the diverse events, Atizay hosted a successful week-long pop-up shop, showcasing talented artists and offering selected prints for sale. This initiative emphasized the creativity and community found within the design industry, allowing attendees to connect with innovative works and support Black visual artistry.

The second edition of Atizay's Encuentro Afrocostarricense de Artes Visuales (EAAV), themed "BLACK Resiliency: Coping with a Global Emergency as a BLACK Artist," was a virtual gathering that emphasized the strength and adaptability of the Black community amidst global challenges. Held from October 30 to November 1, 2020, the event featured ten visual artists and over twenty performers from around the world. Through panel discussions, workshops, and a virtual art exhibit, the EAAV created a vibrant platform for Black artists to connect, share experiences, and showcase their creativity and resilience during these unprecedented times.
On October 29th, 2019, Atizay's I Encuentro Afrocostarricense de Artes Visuales (First Afro-Costa Rican Visual Arts Gathering), EAAV I, at the Museo Del Jade in Costa Rica highlighted the underrepresentation of Afro-Costa Rican artists and celebrated their significant contributions to the arts. This gathering initiated an essential dialogue about inclusion in the arts, emphasizing community responsibility to advocate for acknowledgment in cultural spaces.
Atizay's exciting participation at Artists & Fleas in Williamsburg, which took place in July 2019. The event featured a stunning array of artwork from talented artists, including paintings and photography. This vibrant market setting allowed art enthusiasts to engage with unique and diverse pieces, highlighting Atizay's commitment to promoting artistic expression and creativity.
